LSU Casket

As we were selecting a casket last week for a recently deceased family member at a local funeral home, we discovered this LSU casket. It is purple with LSU material lining the inside lid. It only costs $3500 to be entombed in purple and gold. Any takers? The funeral director said that he had sold five or six.

this is one of my greatest fears. 
That my family would put me in a coffin covered in the toonces logo if I died.

speaking of funerals. I was watching a movie called Bernie and he is a funeral director. When he works on the dead people to make them look nice, he super glues their eyes and mouth and put a mouth piece in their mouth.

there is actually a sign on a business on I-55 near batesville, Ms that advertises "discount caskets"...
I can't help but wonder if they are factory seconds from the casket manufacturer in batesville...
also wonder if I could just go by and buy one....

I think I would rather they play "Hold That Tiger" on a record player as I am pushed into a hot furnace. And as I'm being cremated, the vinyl record begins to melt and goes all like "Hold tha blea blurgha blur blurrrrrr...."

You know...I'm as avid a LSU fan as their is in this world........BUT......marketing caskets lined with LSU graphics is pretty friggin sorry IMO. Seriously....I don't think college affiliations are going to really be that high of a priority in the afterlife.....(although, if God cares, he's almost definitely a Tiger.)
