Just update my info and then of course got peddled the loyalty package . they should have had an option to include your TD handle...for better networking.

Lol this sounds like the latest scam to get your contact info to solicit for alumni donations

That package is worth almost as much as my degree.

It’s dumb.

Apparently, you get the chance to buy the directory afterwards.

Who the hell uses a directory anymore. Grandma did, but she’s been dead.

Just got done with that call as well. I kinda felt bad for the lady, since she had to go through 3 tiers of packages, even though I told I wouldn't be buying anything from right when she started the pitch.

I wish I had thought let her know I'd buy a package if they stopped charging us for gameday trailer parking. It wouldn't happen, but is pretty much why I stopped donating for the most part.

I give to my major's school on occasion, but that's it.

Everytime I get a call from a 225-578 number I just ignore it. I know they’re just calling to ask for more money.

That’s cool. I donated so much in parking tickets in undergrad I hit my lifetime limit for anything but TAF.

I have been getting e-mails for this. I remember the same process taking place a couple of years ago...turns out to really be just an excuse to try to sell you the directory.

I used to work with the alumni association a few years ago. They piss away a lot of money. Every time they call me for a donation I start listing out all the ways they could save money with real world examples that only a former employee would know about and then they would not need donations. Eventually they hang up on me.

I wonder how closely they vette this stuff, if at all. I know two guys who claim to be graduates who never actually completed their degree.

No but I've been getting the calls where the kid wants to update my contact info, ask about my experience at LSU and advice for him, and oh yea, ask for money for the student fund.

Keep getting emails and cards to update my info. But you have to respond by calling. Not doing that. They have my right information anyway.
