the future, if you leave Louisville, if you find yourself in an area where the streets are named after presidents, Indian tribes, or MLK, it is probably advisable to relocate.

Just say you're a dumbass... You tried to play on the negative connotation that MLk areas are dangerous... And you didn't realize this particular MLK is a busy interstate.

Multiple people in this thread just told you that area is not "bad" but yet you think because it's named MLK an elevated interstate makes it bad LMAO

I work in healthcare and corrections, and if you remove the mentally ill from the jail and prisons, there would be about 75% less inmates. But there is literally no where to put the crazy, because no one can afford to subsidize them for 89 years that we now can keep them alive. And you can’t keep staff at mental institutions due to the overwhelming amount of government rules and regulations, so they end up in jails and prisons instead. I have worked at both a maximum security mental hospital, a state prison, a county jail, and a run of the mill mental hospital in the greater Alabama area. I honestly think that a certain population should just be humanely euthanized and put out of their misery. But who do you trust to make the judgement of who?

The beds your facility has are full. The problem is that we have far fewer beds in far fewer facilities available today, and that is 100% by choice and design. We continue to gut public mental health care in this country. Public facilities have closed at an alarming rate. The retort to that is that private facilities have filled the void. That's an outright lie. For the people who need it most, private mental healthcare is out of reach.

So, they are shuffled to what is left of our public system where they face insane wait times and understaffed facilities either winding up in the ER or jail. When in jail the local sheriff's office is taxed with dealing with and managing/treating mentally ill people they are unprepared or incapable of treating. Most do the best they can, but it is a losing battle from the start.

We throw so much money away in this country whilst steadily burying our heads in the sand in regards to real problems and issues.

You're preaching to the choir on this one.

And you're correct, private facilities haven't filled the void. At all.

But there's not one politician, on either side, that wants to fund mental health facilities. Or appropriate staffing. When they passed the requirement for mental health practitioners in school here they were like "Oh, well, we'll look to add funds from the next year's budget" and it's been crickets ever since.

You would never know if from this thread, but as best i can tell, the "profile" of a mass shooter in the US is a straight white male .
I see a lot of effort by posters to blame or be victimized by blacks, trannys, liberal media, progressives, Aggies, etc.
If you want to examine the demographics or profile mass shooters, stick to the facts.

Go to your book of facts and look up the definition of "mass shooting". Then come back and let's talk about the demographic that commits most of those acts.

He thinks our Floyd street here is named after George Floyd apparently. He's not exactly playing will a full deck on this one. Not James Floyd, a Colonel in the Kentucky Militia and one of the first Judges of Kentucky.

Wrong again.

Of course, it depends entirely on which definition of "mass shooting" you're choosing to run with.

Yet I knew what the fricking road in your town is called.

Thanks for never telling me what I think again. I was more concerned that there are many president names in the area, yet you kept doubling down, shrieking like a bitch that it is not named MLK when it clearly is. So maybe the area isn't as bad as it would seem contrary to the street names. They are still their fricking names, though.

There are at least three definitions and the demographics are the same for the shooter.
What definition do you wish to use which would change the profile of the shooter?
Or do you want to avoid the question entirely by engaging in an argument over semantics.
If you have a different shooter profile, tell us, sweetie.

Of course it is!

What is the definition that you are using? You need to keep up because your team changes it often to fit your false narratives.

Go ahead and link it all up. Define mass shootings and provide the stats. Should be very easy to do.

I’m gonna go off on a limb here and say he’s not including gang shootings in the hoods across America. Just a shot in the dark. No pun intended.

Correct.

Our government is removing funding from mental health on purpose. We have known that society is getting sicker and purposefully not helping them.

Feature not a bug.

No one calls it that stupid..unlike the Snyder & Watterson.

So again just admit you thought it was a regular surface street and tried to judge a part of town you know nothing about and move on.

It was a joke. Then Bawette started jumping in, calling me names, and telling me she doesn't call the road that, so that is not its name, even if it is.

She knows it is an elevated Hwy., but not its name. I am sorry I made you neighbor cry.
