They spud this one 1-30-2025. Last update on 3-23-26 they were fishing 6,900' of 2-7/8" down at 23,000' so that doesn't sound inspiring. Serial #254918. Click on the Well name under Well Information Search in Saint Martin Parish with "Highlander Oil and Gas Assets LLC" selected as operator. The first well made like 100 BCF before they had some kind of downhole tubing/casing collapse if I recall but it also cost 300 million plus.

I used to like Sonris but the new updates have made it a real pain in the arse to use now.

I'm on the Regulatory side. Everyone hates me because I have to tell Operations when they can't do something, so I don't get to hang any truck nuts.

“We’d like to have a huge, centralized gas lift network for these 24 wells. It’ll be more efficient and cost less in additional facilities and compressor stations. We have everything we need to begin construction tomorrow.”

Regulatory: “Have we filed the co-mingle permits yet? I’m not even sure we’d be allowed to mix the gas from 6 of those wells with the others.”

But hey, being your role, if you couldn’t find the subject well above, then that helps me feel not so incompetent with Sonris.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had to do mineral and production history reports in Louisiana.

I'm not government. My job is to keep the government happy and out of our business as much as possible.

I found those Highlander wells, but they haven't been updated, which could be the State being slow, or they need better Regulatory people.

And SONRIS is harder to find stuff now with the update. I'm not as good as I used to be.

Yeah…that’s what I mean. I couldn’t find updated reports.

I thought I remembered Sonris being different 10 years or so ago, but didn’t know if that was just in my imagination.

I’m a fan of the NMOCD’s online platform. You’d think with all the West TX money flowing, the TX RRC could come up with something as user friendly.

Took them a little over a year to reach total depth. Have not completed the well yet so no production. This is the site of an old well that had downhole complications and was ultimately shut in - years going through insurance to recoup money; got a lifeline from the billionaire Moncrief family to drill this new one, easily over $100mm and likely over $200mm, approaching $300mm, when it's all said and done.

Publicly traded (highly illiquid) GULTU owns a 5% overriding royalty interest in this well and other prospects. History of all this is very interesting if you have the time. Freeport / Jim Bob Moffett origins

Where are they going to build this new Peace Terminal?

Its the SONRIS scouting report that comes out every Thursday on C&E's website.

Data Portal>Well Information>Lafayette Scout Details

Give you the weekly update on everything being drilling in the Lafayette district, all publicly available. Slick operators usually sandbag a bit so take with a grain of salt.

I've been out of upstream a while but was always useful to keep track of what's going on.

say what you want about Louisiana but we do have the best state oil and gas database, by a lot

Not a fan of the new user interface, but you are right.

Especially when compared to TXRRC.

SONRIS has went through major changes in the last year or so. Not very user friendly at the moment but the data is still there, just have to get used to navigating the new interface. Not many are happy about it exists currently. Many complaints from state employees as well as operators

It's not you. They just about ruined SONRIS.

I probably have 30 pages open at once the way it's configured now.
