I can't imagine anyone would care about a speeding ticket baw.
Eta: unless you're applying to ups or FedEx

Even driver positions don't give a frick about ONE speeding ticket.
FWIW I always thought it was funny that papa John's would hold a ticket for driving the wrong way down a one way street over your head for long as a Dwi,3 years.
Odd they singled it out with Dwi and up there with Vehicular homicide(5 yrs). I guess that's one of the most deadly infractions.

And a traffic ticket is differentiated from a criminal misdemeanor for purposes of a background check
20mph+ over the limit is a criminal offense that requires you to go to court. It is a misdemeanor. I know this for a fact

So it is 20 over that is considered a misdemeanor. I was not sure. Someone told me it was 11 over.

That is what caused me to question if it was truly a misdemeanor.

11 is fine. I've gotten plenty of those tickets. Done multiple background checks with different companies, and no tickets show up. LA only records the traffic offenses that are misdemeanors.

I have had the 20+ over ones reduced to 19, and just paid the fine. They said it was within the standard of error of their equipment. Whatever, I didn't have to go to court

Don’t report it. Not a misdemeanor.
