He’s looking for press to leap frog to a more prestigious liberal law school. He’s using our governor and our tax dollars as the leverage to get him there.

Being reported 1st Circuit reverse the trial court. Levy barred again.

I'm curious about the reasoning since Louisiana is an at-will employment state. I think it's ridiculous to remove someone from their job because they said something about a politician that politician didn't like. However, at the same time this professors argument that his "rights" were violated is just as ridiculous. No one has a right to a job or to teach others.
Agreed, but if there is a policy on the books for how removal or termination should go, it’s not that hard to simply follow that process.
Landry is an idiot, though, as evidenced by his stupid behavior so far. He may be more hyper-sensitive than Trump.

When Trump does a better job not responding to stupidity than you do, that’s pretty bad.

Regardless of what you think should happen, Jeff Landry comes off as a huge bitch lol

Being able to say whatever the frick I want about Jeff Landry, Donald Trump, Kamala, Biden, Obama, LaToya, Mohammed, Netanyahu, Jake Paul, etc… is a bedrock principle of being an American.
frick anyone who tries to chip away at that right we all have.

Not in a state-run institution/law school when you have a captive audience who have no recourse to your spewing all of your complete f*cking insanity.

I’m in a lawyer online chat group of mostly NOLA area lawyers, and almost all of them side with the professor. They think law students should have thicker skin and not worry about a professor who insults them and is biased against anyone who doesn’t share his politics.
Liberals are nasty.
Liberals are nasty.

LSU has pushed back on both claims, defending its actions toward Levy as entirely within the bounds of law and arguing that due process entitles Levy to keep his job as a tenured professor, but not necessarily remain in class as an instructor during an investigation.
Does this mean he's still getting paid? If so, he won anyway.

They are correct. An 18-22 year old who tattle tales on someone because their feelings got hurt about a man that doesn't know them, is a fricking pussy.

Yeah if the classroom was free speech alley you’d have a point

Walk into your boss's office every morning and tell him his wife is a total bitch. See how long you have a job after exercising your bedrock principle.
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequence.

So the student that told is fricking Jeff Landry?

“Ruling is absurd! It not only ignores the law and the facts, it disrespects the broad base of Louisiana citizens who are demanding a level of professionalism in our universities. The judge ignored the facts, the law, and the Constitution—but that is what we have come to expect out of the 19th JDC. I am confident that the 1st circuit or the SC will correct this! I am curious as to whether this Judge would allow this professor to act like that in his court room!”
Governor Jeff Landry via X
He's so obviously trying to copy Trump's diction, but falling just short.

A state-run university is the exact place where professors should be allowed to say their crazy shite. I had some whack-arse professors. Being exposed to goofy viewpoints is one of the whole points of going to college.
Maybe it’s because I’m of a certain age, but I don’t understand this younger generation’s pearl-clutching about “platforming.” Everyone including me has some whack arse opinions. People need to calm down.

But if you are mega cash rich, you can freely walk around and just verbally obliterate any and everyone. That’s freedom.

Not a professor injecting his own insane f*cking politics into the classroom where it doesn’t f*cking belong. It has a chilling effect on any discussion as these kids would be fearful to speak up knowing what an insane f*cking nut job that professor is.

What about governors
Ehh…to Huey P Landry’s credit, he enrolled in Southern Law School, but he graduated from Loyola Law School
Graduated law school in 2004, then ran for political office (State Legislature) in 2007. Quickly decided on the career politician route after getting that J.D.

Ughh, what a nasty pig. I just looked her up. You’re spot on. Literally and figuratively.
Posted on 2/13/25 at 3:22 pm to MMauler
You're still assuming everyone is a big pussy like you. Say with your chest a response to the professor's political ideals. If he fails you for that, then you complain. Soft as baby shite.
