After Pres. Jefferson bought the Louisiana Territory from the french it should have never been allowed to be cut up into other states.

Louisiana looks like a letter L, which is convenient because Louisiana starts with L, and is the only state that starts with L. Point to another state that looks like the letter it starts with. I'll wait.

Texas originally had a chunk of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado including Aspen.
