In murders per 100K residents. 3 of the top 10 cities within the borders of our great state. LINK Not news to anyone familiar with our beloved locals governments.

With St. George taking a good chunk of "Baton Rouge" residents, BR will stay at the top for a long time...even if murders slightly decrease.

I remember when Nola was far and away the most violent city in the country. St Louis and Baltimore are kind of pulling away from everyone, even Detroit.

Anybody on here doing their part to help? It's safe to get credit here, the cops won't know about it.

I'd love to see the stats for cities below 100,000. I'd wager places like Monroe and even Bastrop LA would occupy lofty positions.

Is there a common identifier with all of the cities on the list? You would think there would be but I cannot seem to recognize one.

Can’t have a high murder rate if you crush them with falling buildings instead.

Undesirables killing undesirables doesn't sound that bad

If more logic and investment were applied to education, this would eventually be remedied.
