maybe so but it’s clear that Landry and his sycophants are more than capable of this idiocy all by themselves. The legislature has always been dominated by the white republican hypocrites, it’s just that now with Landry they are free from any reasonable chance of reprisal for their actions or words worst possible situation considering the only alternative is the democrats and their race pimps. There is no place for common sense in state government

Taxpayers shouldn't be funding the dome anyway.
Taxpayers owed the building. Who do you expect to maintain the property?

So we should just continue to let the city's infrastructure crumble and do no repairs? Yeah I get it that here in New Orleans we tend to only do these things bc of big events but shite at least its getting done.
As far as Dome renovations go, the city was awarded this Super Bowl without the promise of the recent renovations but as other new stadiums come online, it needed to modernize to remain within the top tier.
Everybody wants to come here. Super Bowls, Final Fours, CFP championship games, etc. Can the old building keep up with it? Question is should we let go of an iconic building and build a new stadium somewhere else and lose the perfect downtown location? Or enhance it and keep it modern to keep these big events coming.

NFL went to shite when the cowards bended the knee and got rid of Hank’s Monday night football theme song

Stupid headline grabbers. These idiots cost the state so much money injecting their religious beliefs and holier than thou positions.

You do realize who owns the Dome?

We want the economic boom the Super Bowl brings New Orleans and our state
This event, the NFL subsidy, and the Superdome itself is a state incentive for New Orleans. It means almost nothing to the rest of the state.
I wouldn’t stand in the way of whatever they want to do…but I’m not going to pretend that New Orleans hotels or the Superdome matters to the entire state.
This has nothing to do with most of us….we just hope Entergy doesn’t frick it up again.

There are numerous State programs that allocate the State's portion of sales tax revenue back to local government. A big one is the sales tax on hotel rentals.
