He's been dropping all those hints for years and you're just now seeing them.

Is bestiality that big of a problem in 2018 Louisiana?

This is why you can't trust a politician:

quote:

"You can find anything on the internet, unfortunately," Morrell said. "There is a huge market, an unfortunate market, of trafficking animals for sex acts."

Morrell said that there are currently places where people in Louisiana advertise seeking animals for sex acts or offer up their own pets for abuse.

Absolute pure hyperbole.

The more I read about this bill, the more I would have voted nay.

quote:

Present law provides that crime against nature includes the unnatural carnal copulation by
a human being with another of the same sex or opposite sex or with an animal.

Proposed law deletes unnatural carnal copulation by a human being with an animal from the
definition of crime against nature.

Proposed law otherwise retains present law.

Proposed law creates the crime of sexual abuse of an animal.

Proposed law provides that
any person who willfully commits any of the following acts is guilty of sexual abuse of an
animal:

So instead of striking down the "crimes against nature law" altogether, they are simply carving out the animal portion of it and leaving the original law on the books. The original law is unconstitutional, but leave it to LA legislators to leave it untouched for political gain.

So they left that wording in, but also said anal between 2 adults is legal?

That makes no sense

"Blow jobs and anal are illegal but anal is legal"

How is the sexual assault of a goat not already a violation of our laws against animal cruelty?

No, they didn't change anything about the previous law other than to take animals out:

Under this proposed law, anal intercourse would still be illegal in LA but wouldn't be enforceable because it's unconstitutional.

Remove the damn law altogether and create the new one for animal abuse. Don't carve off animal abuse and leave an unconstitutional law on the books.

quote:

A. Crime against nature is either of the following:
10 (1) The unnatural carnal copulation by a human being with another of the
11 same sex or opposite sex or with an animal, except that anal sexual intercourse
12 between two human beings shall not be deemed as a crime against nature when done
13 under any of the circumstances described in R.S. 14:41, 42, 42.1 or 43. Emission is
14 not necessary; and, when committed by a human being with another, the use of the
15 genital organ of one of the offenders of whatever sex is sufficient to constitute the
16 crime.

The bold part would be removed, then the law would be reenacted. That's absurd.

ETA - What I'm saying is that the article in the OP is wrong. Shocker.

Spoiler alert - they're all forms of rape or assault.

Basically the original law saws sodomy isn't a crime when it's part of a worse crime, if that makes any sense. The new law wouldn't change that. The article quoted this part:

quote:

anal sexual intercourse between two human beings shall not be deemed as a crime against nature

and didn't finish the damn statute.

So that part is in the original wording?

Oh i saw what the other statutes were. Basically anal isn't a crime against nature during a rape because the rape statutes specifically list anal as a crime against the victim.

Curious. If you were voted into office, and the majority of citizens in your district wanted sex with animals to be legal, do you have an obligation to vote in that manner?

Laws against buttsex are pretty much trying to outlaw gays. North LA tends to be more Bible belt and intolerant than south LA so it would make sense that they'd try to stop this bill from passing.

Lol idk what part of S LA you grew up in but the parts where I came from butt sex was indeed heavily frowned upon.

Me thinks you are a bit simplistic and presumptuous.
