Looks like Randall Gay, former LSU and NFL player, passed.
I read an Advocate article that said his wife graduated from Southern Law with him in May, but I don't see her name on the list. (Maybe she goes by a different last name?)
Could make for an awkward evening. "You go ahead and celebrate, I'll be okay."

I am in NY. I'm admitted in NY and NJ.
The emphasis was on the multistate. From what I recall, my NY essays were CivPro, T&E, Property and Crim, but I don't recall landlord/tenant specifically.
I also don't recall the exam being "hard" per se. Just more of an ordeal/hazing process. I was definitely sweating out that time period of waiting for the results, though.
I'm admitted into FL and LA. FL was set up with the multistate. It was considerably easier than LA. The LA bar is an absolute frick.

Same here in Mississippi.
I crushed the MBE here. I finished it in over half the time allotted.
The essays?
It gave us a bunch of different fact patterns and the questions would reference the fact patters and ask, "How would you use Evidence Rule XX to solve this problem?"
They didn't reference the typical evidence rules like character evidence or hearsay. Just some obscure rules, and only by their number.
No shite, I left that part mostly blank and still passed

I read this and looked for his obituary.

Is there such a rule, or were the examiners just trying to bait you?

The Bar isn't that hard, hopefully, everyone passed (and if you don't, maybe you should rethink your profession).

I love being an attorney. The ones who don't are the ones who treat it like a job. Being a member of the bar is a lifestyle. It transcends being a normal person with a normal job. You've got a higher calling, and to be happy, you need to accept that.
You have watched way too much TV and seen too many movies! i hope to Hell you were joking when you typed that post. Otherwise, you have a harsh reality waiting to slap you in the face sometime soon.

It really isn't. I didn't study that much for either.

How many cases have you handled that involved Constitutional law?

As an attorney I've done some federal stuff where con law was directly implicated (national security and immigration). I've also done some appellate federal statute work that had some constitutional arguments involved.
Now it's quite rare, unless I'm working on a quirky procedural issue or something on appeal.
Prior to finishing law school I worked for a public policy firm where it was pretty much 100% con law.
Anyway, why do you ask.

This is the type of bigotry that I'm working to expunge from our society

Well, the law will not do it. The law can make bigotry more costly and less acceptable. The law can reshape it and drive it underground. It cannot "expunge" it.
Have you considered the priesthood? I'm not being sarcastic.

Catholicism is certainly a good choice should one be so liberally inclined.
But the law is greater than the press, military might, and a flush economy. It is the fist of an angry populace.

I once overheard this exchange --
Veteran Lawyer: This claim is not worth pursuing. You will spend more than you can possibly recover.
Client: Well, I want to litigate on principle.
Veteran lawyer: Fine. I will need a large retainer, because when you get the bill, it will be hard for you to remember that these are your principles, not mine.
