From University of Illinois at Chicago study.
Linked article is about Illinois being third. Do the link at the bottle of the article to read the full report.
News hasn't gotten down here yet.

The real takeaway is how is the District of Columbia 8 times more corrupt than the number two on the list?

Since DC isn’t an actual state, that would make Louisiana the most corrupt state.
Congrats!
Congrats!

More politicians in a smaller population.

As soon as u get out of Louisiana, u realize how terrible the state is run

I don't really see the point of using convictions from 40 years ago, but I doubt LA changes much if you look at the last 15-20 years only.

since I'm assuming this is a copy-paste job...

All threads started in the future about why LA/BR/NOLA sucks should be given a link to this study. Pretty much sums it up.

It's taken from the actual report from the University of Illinois at Chicago, but, yes, Louisiana is the most corrupt actual state.

Or does Louisiana have more success at convicting corrupt politicians when compared to other states

Beat me to it. This list is about as impressive as a “click here to see what she looks like now.”

Louisiana is holding Pennsylvania's beer.

Yeah they're not controlling conviction rate. This would have made more sense if they looked at indictments or investigations per 10,000 in population.
Not saying Louisiana wouldn't still be number 1 but there could be some other state that's way more corrupt but just never gets any convictions on their corruption

Didn't we have like 4 or 5 insurance commissioners in a row go to prison?
