Now all the people on LivePD that never have their ID but always have their phone will have no excuse.

Thisx10000.
There is a thread right below this one complaining about people hacking phone numbers and calling them. Yet most people still want to have ApplePay, the wallet, SS#, passwords, and IDs on their phone with one 4 digit password protecting it all...

“Just me just pull my cellphone out of my pocket.” Not sure that will fly with some LEO. Might get you shot.

You know damn well the cell phone is already in 98% of all drivers hands already. I know this because i have to honk at the dumbass on their phone daily when the light turns green

Maybe they’re a grumpy, impatient, no life having arse, who likes to honk the horn at people in front of them as soon as the light turns green?
But yes, my cell phone is never far away from my hand.

You mean just like if you lost your entire IRL wallet and someone found it. It has EVERYTHING needed for someone to steal your identity...
Whats your point? What a dumb comment imo.

my wallet doesn't link back to a database that contains your info too...You also can't hack someones wallet like you could an app

But your IRL wallet has your physical DL, bank cards, health insurance cards, etc. If I found your wallet I could take your CC or debt card to Walmart and buy 1000 links of boudin and/or steal your identify and open up some lines of credit easily.
A phone (or at least 99% of them) has a lock screen that you have to know the pin, password, or fingerprint to even access it. In that sense, it's already more secure than your wallet.
Additionally, the LA Wallet went through several security audits by the state and a 3rd party company before it got released. I'd trust that they fixed any issues they found before releasing this thing.
Do you even have the app? I got it for Android and like it so far.

Yes but you couldn't steal his identity and get a credit card in his name, then go into Walmart and buy 1000 links of boudin. Seriously, are you dense?

literally, the lowest bidder built it and then a lower internal one said "good to go"...I don't have nor will I ever

this app, is no more secure than that..I don't hack phones, I figure out how the app works and back track it to the source connections...the issue here is that it means there is an open connection to a database with your information on it..most of us didn't agree for that connection to exist (see Facebook over the last few months apologizing)

baw, I will commit 1000 felonies to get some of dat boudin! lol. Joking aside, I think it would be pretty easy to steal someone identity if you found their entire wallet and were so inclined to do so.

Yea I get what you are saying. I dont think that's the case here. I think there is a 3rd party that has all of the OMV data already and the app connects to that to get your info. Probably many other apps and bg check companies access this same data as well so it's gotta be pretty secure.

Walmart selling boudin should be a felony in itself

I havent been pulled over in years, but circa 1999 i got pulled over for speeding. Cop asked for my license number, which i gave him. Came back and asked my name. I gave it to him, and he said slow it down. Have a nice day
