La Wallet App

pretty cool, works fine, cops CANNOT touch the phone, but are required by law to accept it as ID, they'll have to take down the info and go back to their car if needed

A lot of folks are just taking a picture of their license and keeping it on their smartphones

Seems like a really good way to irritate an officer for no good reason

Sounds like a good way to go from a warning to a ticket if you're white.

If you're black, sounds like a good way to get shot.

Thanks, but no thanks.

So I could keep a polaroid of my license in the glove box and just produce it when needed?

Sounds like a good way for our broke arse state to make a few bucks off of Millennials.

having a license and having it on your person, I believe, are two different laws..A pic would prove you have one

I just read the FAQ. It only works when cops stop you which essentially renders this tech useless.

Hopefully they can expand its uses in the future. I’d like to not carry a wallet.

I'm pretty certain the state gets a kick back. The fee must be paid every time you renew your physical license. Without the fee, the state police aren't required to accept it.

Yeah I found a good article on it. The Louisiana State Police are the only folks required to accept it. They're currently working on acceptance by TSA, restaurant groups, and local LEOs.

I havent been pulled over in years, but circa 1999 i got pulled over for speeding. Cop asked for my license number, which i gave him. Came back and asked my name. I gave it to him, and he said slow it down. Have a nice day

Edit to add: csb

nice little backup. lots of time women leave their purse somewhere so this helps having license on them cause you know they damn sure don't leave their phone whit purse.

You can get a duplicate ID for like $15 and keep it in your car.
