Watched the kids from Ruston beat a team from Auburn tonight to win the Dixie Youth, 12U World Series 6-4. Good game and congratulations to Ruston. They represented Louisiana in the tournament that has state representatives from 11 states in the southeast

No, in this age group 10 - 12 there were 3 teams. Two from Ruston and one from Franklin

You’re taking some serious Ls in this thread. Either learn to read beyond the literal meaning of a sentence or head off to bed.

Is the actual name of the organization just as Dixie Youth and Dizzy Dean, which is both Rec and Tourney Ball.

USSSA is strictly a travel/tournament organization

One of my claims to fame is that I played for the 12 year old Dixie All Star team that went to the World Series in Virginia to represent Louisiana back in 2001. Still look back on it as one of the best times of my life

When you consider around 250,000 kids play Dixie Youth each season, making it to their World Series is rare air for sure. Great experience as a fan this week.

USSSA and Top Gun are travel ball programs that do host a ton of "World Series". Little League and Dixie Youth have only one each year and you must qualify by winning your Sub District, District and State Tournaments in order to advance.
