Again another non answer, the truth is the vaccinated are becoming infected, are spreading covid. FACTS
Who cares? I thought this was about hospitalizations ??
Thats really all we should care about.
And if you dont think vaccination affects hospitalization statistics, well I’m not sure what else we have to chat about
ETA - long covid is also something worth caring about to some degree. I’m quite curious to find out how the vaccinated and symptomatic fare with long covid.

Wrong, Monday reports 3 days in one shot.
I prefer going by the 7 day average. It's more accurate than a single day. We are dropping as fast as it rose. Down 18% over the last 10 days, and steadily down at that

I really hate this thread. If everyone were vaccinated, covid hospitalizations would rarely be mentioned. Let the downvotes flow like a raging river.

Should be over but won't be over thanks to Destroya and Bel Cock Sucker.

Mentioned because the propaganda machine wasnt in hyperdrive or because they wouldn't exist?

Because they would be reduced by approximately a factor of 5-8

What we know is that Covid is still very much around in both the highly vaccinated places as well as the unvaccinated places. Obviously hospitalizations are much better in the high vaccination areas. The question is will that always be the case.
We are putting all our eggs in the vaccine basket which obviously is a very good tool but shouldn’t we be working on the contingency if eventually the virus starts evading the vaccine or are continual boosters forever the only solution. I just get frustrated how not once does the medical community come out and say that getting healthy is also a great defense against Covid. In fact we do the opposite and give them free donuts if the get tested or get the vaccine.

If you would just do what they say, they would take the boot off your neck....

FWIW British rates had fallen off a cliff and are now starting to go up again.

They have maintained at 25,000 cases a day for weeks now, and hospitalizations are stagnant too

I have an idea: Maybe we can build a large covid treatment facility in each city. That way there will always be enough hospital capacity.

Vaccine uptake in the UK high risk groups is higher than their counterparts in the USA. So far (at least for Louisiana), the dramatic reduction in hospitalization and death seen with the July UK wave hasn’t replicated in the same way here (you can squint and see it, but it’s not as obvious as the UK version).

Either 3rd or 4th week in a row they fricked with Tuesday's numbers.
