161 beds in the state is astronomically small. I don’t even know where came from. OP doesn’t have any sources.
.

His source is the Louisiana Department of Health who release hospitalization numbers every weekday at noon. Today was 161 less than Friday.

From previous variants yes I think it will last longer.

Mississippi only has 35% of adults fully vaccinated. It’s safe to say Mississippi has a way to go.

Pulmonary doctor/family friend says this is the tip of the iceberg in MS.

You are being so general, it is meaningless.

This reminds me of our illustrious governor and his mini me doctor standing on stage last week claiming there was no end in sight even though everyone on this board could see the downward trend.

Previous variants have lasted longer than where we are now. The delta variant is about half of the previous variant. It's all speculation. Believe what you want to believe. I don't care.

Delta is more contagious and more deadly than previous.

These charts are constantly fluctuating. My guess it will last into early to mid 2022. If not longer.

I’m looking at previous variants. Delta is half the duration as those and is reported that it is more severe than previous. That’s my conclusion.

I think you will find if you look at the death rate and hospitalization rate compared to the original COVID, you will likely find delta is very similar, if not a little less severe, than the original covid strain. Definitely more contagious.

It will be mid 2022 before covid is gone in the sec states at this point.
In mid 2022, COVID will be endemic and no longer novel, and a couple of years after that it will be classified as the fifth coronavirus that causes the common cold.

Roughly 65% of Mississippi residents have also already had Covid according to estimates.

FDA approval was never what was keeping anti vaxxers from taking it.

It was just the most convenient excuse.

These types always adjust the goalpost.

Yep, yep, and yep…even though their hero DJT was one of the first to get it

That’s bullshite it is on a clear decline in Louisiana……we’ll be seeing April numbers by shortly after Labor Day.

I don’t keep up with MS so I don’t have a clue there.

You’ve never met a doctor. Go to a hospital and ask their opinion and get back to me.
