your savior JBE took a 2-3 day increase to start moving backwards, so why not?

l dont believe these hospital numbers. i fully believe we have ppl being kept over night "for observation" (money) when they dont truly need to be, or they go for something completely unrelated, but just so happen to test positive
Theory doesnt hold water because they would be discharged the next day (or the next) and the numbers would begin to wash. The hospitalization number each day includes discharges. There may have been a spike with this practice initially, if it was true. But, we’ve seen increases for some time now, so this wouldnt hold weight. These people are staying in the hospital.

Go refresh your memory on how you said anyone doubting the numbers is tin foil hat wearing, and then today when the gross miscalculation from Florida was reported by investigations you laughed it off as an “oh well” moment

Boy, that thread popped off.
Point is, these numbers have to be adjusted after the fact, sometimes multiple times. We know there are dumps. We know there is inaccurate reporting. Especially the first time the reporting happens. To expect data that is concise across different metrics by different states and different reporting entities during something which we have never dealt with before is futile. I’m simply suggesting numbers not be assumed as the end all be all on a daily basis, and especially a single day over day change, given what we know about inaccuracies, dumps, etc.
Most of this I assumed went without saying. Apparently not.

Based on what?

I think you’re just mad about your honest discussion thread. And that’s okay.

why would I be mad about it? you spouted off some bullshite and then couldn't give a single instance of credibility to what you said

You’re right. I have as much credibility as any other armchair physician here.

It's progress over yesterday...with the way these numbers are faked and reported you have to latch on to any positive you can....but it will probably get fixed in tomorrow's run.

Entire point I was trying to make. Especially since yesterday was Monday. I trust the running averages others have compiled more. That’s all I was saying.

However -- I believe someone posted here last week that OLOL in BR was taking in patients from overwhelmed Mississippi hospitals. If that was true and is still true, I assume they are counted as Louisiana beds in use (even though LA case counts would exclude MS residents).
Yes it counts against our usage. And we flattened the curve so we wouldn't overwhelm the system. Now we are a little more than halfway past what our peak hospital usage was and even then we weren't in danger of being overrun. Now we have the ability to move people from one hospital to another if that first hospital has a shortage of space.

Maybe I should have put "fixed" in quotations....or maybe I should have just used "faked"....because that's what it will be faked to correct any positive movement.

At today’s rate it would take almost 5 years for the entire state to get infected.

It was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt in Florida today.
If you don't think it's happening here you are just ignorant.
