I only see Louisiana numbers because of this board. Heck I’ve never seen How Mississippi reports their numbers but a backlog of that amount on test conducted two months ago is ludicrous

so maybe you will see some of the % positives from those days decrease
Wont undo the scolding or reopen the bars

Today's update includes 1,741 positive cases dating back to as far as 5/28.
Criminal
Why even report 3 month old cases? It also distorts the previous peak that we are already past.

Idiot won’t say anything about us having almost 3x the amount of test as a normal day. He’ll just focus on the number 3600.

Should be interesting this afternoon.
Not really. No changes will be made
But lots of smacking and talking down to us.

Also, I thought positives had to be reported immediately. Why are they backlogged Mack to late May, over 2 months ago?
So that JBE can do with the numbers whatever is necessary for him to justify any prolonging

I meant it should be interesting to see what metric he reaches for to tell us how bad it is.
Because the trends for the last 10 days have been very good.

No one had an answer for this in the thread last week

I’m am beyond frustrated by the bullshite from LDH. It’s fricking clear they have an agenda when they dump every time before a press conference

Well they failed today then because those numbers are great.

Doesn’t matter more positives is all the dumbasses that watch the news will hear about
Posted on 8/4/20 at 12:18 pm to LoneStar23
Just wait till the retards show up in the YouTube comments at 2:30
Posted on 8/4/20 at 12:19 pm to burdman
They’re great, but the media and JBE will only talk about total cases because the rest don’t fit the narrative.

They're meaningless though because they aren't up to date. So the positive rate for example will be higher than using this raw data. Doesn't matter that means the positive rate from.previous dates has to be lower to account for that. We need to focus only on the "high" rate right now.

6.5% positive rate
Do the backlog cases factor into this?

The collection dates for most of the cases fall between July 28 and August 4 2020.
1741 old cases back to 5/28, 3615 total cases reported.
That means that 1874 cases are what are technically within that "most" date range.
Somewhat deceptive use of the word "most" there.

What's that rate?

Yep. I don't know if you saw yesterday's thread but it made me think about the thread from last week with the daily positive discussion.
Basically it's impossible to have the daily % positives they're reporting based on the gross number they've reported.

It is not just ludicrous. It is indicative of people who are failing miserably at their jobs. Yet, we are going to entrust them to "fix" the issues?
