they knew the policy would take months of economic slowdown (possibly shut down) and keep dangling a carrot of "2 weeks" in front of us
just like how the media over-hyped the wrong parts of this thing, which caused another "hoax" reaction

Yes, it's not great that this is still happening, but these people make up a tiny percent of the people who would normally be going to festivals, bars, restaurants, and malls.

Yet NOLA is a “hot spot”. Ok but you are still increasing the odds of transmission 10 times over from someone who is potentially asymptomatic.
