Congratulations, lawmakers. Your pointless, pandering bill will do nothing but sow discord between the people of Louisiana and, if passed, eventually get stricken down by the courts, but not before the state wastes precious funds on a futile legal defense.

Money for healthcare? WE CAN'T AFFORD IT!

Money for public schools / higher education? HELL NO ARE YOU CRAZY?!

Money to defend a pointless law that clearly won't be allowed to stand and is only designed as a petty shot at religious minorities and atheists? OMG YES, HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT?

You obviously are ignorant of what "2nd or 3rd world countries" are if you think "godless leaders" are leading us that far.

Our "poor people" are fat. They have expensive cars and big screen TVs and Cell phones. We are living the life of Riley, even in the slums.

Godless leader = Obama and just work yourself down from there.
leading us to 2nd or 3rd world status = we are trillions in debt and going higher every day. How much longer do you think we can keep this up. When the gov't can't borrow any more the teat will dry up. You can guess what will happen after that.

Other nations have followed a similar pattern and eventually failed.

conclusion: God fearing leaders of the past kept us heading in the right direction. We could maintain this wonderful life that we have. Even you non-believers would live as you do if the forefathers example were followed.

How about all you naysayers try presenting an opposite view point with support instead of some ignorant quip and/or emoticon.

That's what John Adams says. Evidence of biblical quotes in the capitol proves differently.

And you sir are ignorant if you believe we can continue on this path if we are borrowing trillions to maintain it. The leaders are doing all of this to maintain their power by buying votes. Fat poor people vote.

I hope you guys have read my previous entries about this being a good idea on the federal level. I hope you know the first Europeans came here due to religious problems back home? Do you know why those that came after them fought for freedom from England? Are you aware of the original intent of the freedom of religion amendment? How about how the separation of church and state has been bastardized? How about all the biblical references behind the constitution? 52 of the 55 founding fathers were members of Christian churches. Where do you think they got their thoughts and ideas from??

Even to this day a preacher opens up the session with a prayer. The gov't pays his salary ... not that a prayer does this batch of crooks any good.

THAT is where we came from, the beginning of a wonderful thing. Life is grand now? Enjoy it while you can. Obamacare just took a chunk out of it. I'm already paying more for my insurance and my coverage has been cut back. .... and you guys are worried about a useless act of the status of a book !!!!!

Man, that is shallow. Do you even know what "history" means? Do you have any who the God fearing leaders were?

I am advocating that men with Christian background be elected leadership positions. Not posers but men of faith using the principles they have been taught to make decisions that will continue us on a direction of prosperity and freedom.

If you are fat and happy now you could be happier knowing your children and grandchildren would have it better.

Well you already discounted the words of one of the main writers of the Declaration of Independence. Are you referring to one of the many Deists that were President?

You have you're bias. There are plenty of capable non-Christian men and women. Just because you don't personally agree with everything that happens doesn't mean the country is becoming second or third world.
