What these companies do is transfer their exec's salaries over to the new plant because the state is paying them a percentage based on salaries. Also, they always inflate these numbers.
Most people at this plant will make less than $40k/yr. With a working spouse they can still afford a stucco Mediterranean style home that looks exactly the same as everyone else's.
In 10 to 15 years another state will pay them to move their plant somewhere else.

You are wrong about that, I know a kid that just finished his first year at a steel mill, in an entry level position in the melt shop. He is what is called a furnace tech ( he dresses up in the aluminum suit, and sticks a temperature probe down into the steel and takes samples for the chemist)helps with maint. and does general grunt work, he made over 80 Gs last year without much overtime, not bad for a 20 year old.
Also needs to be said, that testing for these jobs is very difficult, they want very smart skilled people, that won't get themselves killed, or blow the whole damn place up. These are not regular factory jobs, its serious shite. Everything around you can kill you, not stretching the truth a bit. Workers there will need to understand a lot of mechanical and physical sciences, and know how to solve problems quickly and safely.

That is big and all but there are private residences that are larger.

In order for that exec's salary to receive that 6% credit, that exec would have to become a Louisiana resident, pay state income taxes on the wages, and thus perform more than 50% of his/her responsibilities within the borders of the state.

that's the part that is under the roof, very few things are bigger, possibly where they bolt jets together, but that is just an assembly plant. Once again...waaaay different.
This new place in Louisiana They want guys who build their own chopppers,Rock Crawlers, Slant six Darts that do wheelies,200 MPH go Karts.
20 years sitting at a punch press isn't going to help get one of these jobs.

My mistake. I read it as the whole property was 1.4 million sqf.

Oh yea, I know man, these places like this are huge, they need a big buffer zone around them, because what happens there is loud. They also need a place with lots of water, and huge electrical supply, river, rail and interstate close by...site choice isn't just buying up some cheap land.
They are about to spend a couple of billion dollars there.

Probably not, they are probably going to waste time and raw materials as much as they can, just to see how fast they can blow that 1.5 billion dollar start up.
