The big cities in Texas have more auto accidents and car thefts than all of Louisiana combined.
I just spent 2 months driving in Dallas and was almost sideswiped twice and rear ended once.
Houston is the car theft capital of the country. My coworker’s brand new GMC Denali 2500 diesel was stolen out of the hotel parking lot in Dallas.

I’ve spent a decade insuring vehicles in both states and Texas has been cheaper with better coverage the entire time. Get back on the wrench retard

After this legislation the total cost of home ownership in Texas (which is kind of how I view property taxes) is going to be lower than Louisiana
Tx prop tax will always be higher than LA.
Insurance is much cheaper in north TX and north LA compared to south TX and south LA
There’s 19,000 reasons living in Dallas is probably better than living in St Bernard. This makes 19,001.
If someone hasn’t moved for the first 19,000 reasons, I doubt they move for this one.
That was my point

My insurance in Lafayette on my 2014 F150 is less than $1,500/year, and I have high amount coverage.

Gotta drive 4+ hours from Dallas to catch specks, reds and flounders.
Back to 19,000.

Where the hell is chat GPT getting 2k in taxes on a 400k property for Louisiana?
It'd be double that in Jefferson Parish and even more in Orleans.

Texas has hurricanes and floods worse than Louisiana.
Your car insurance rates are probably just as high due to all of the accidents and car theft.
Your crime rates in the large cities are just as bad.
Your infrastructure is due to your huge population and high taxes.
Yes we have gambling and common sense alcohol laws. Try going to buy a bottle of bourbon in Texas after 10 pm.
Line for line, bar for bar all wrong. Impressive.

I pay less than 2k for several acres.
In Texas that'd be 10, 15, 20k
Math doesn't check out

You think property taxes in texas are 5x, 7.5x or 10x Louisiana?
Jesus christ lmao.

You don’t have auto accidents in Texas? No cars are stolen? The reason the auto insurance rates in LA is so high is because our ridiculous tort laws.
No crime in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio?
Can you buy bourbon after 9 or 10 pm?
