Maybe it is understandable, but true change won't happen until all sides are able to rationally discuss, and accept blame for, the issues.
1. Court system in general stacked against the poor.
2. LBJ's "war on poverty" and the societal welfare it created needs to end (would help with fatherless homes).
3. This current version of the "war on drugs" needs to end (would help with fatherless homes and the HIV rate).
4. Facts and statistics, and the reasons for said stats (some of this goes back to 2 & 3), should be discussed rather than shouted down as "racist." (You're not going to gain much sympathy when it's only a big deal when a cop or a white person kills a black person when the black on black crime is off limits to the discussion.)
5. Excessive force, particularly killings at the hands of cops, on all the citizenry regardless of race should be called into question. (something Republicans should be able to get behind.)
6. The over-militarization of police forces should be called into question.

Yep, agree with all of that. And clearly there's a long uphill battle ahead of us if we do decide to tackle these issues. And I would expect more outbursts like this one along the way, because, again, it is human nature to lash out.

Thugs rioting just because.
They didn't know that man.
They just want a excuse to destroy something that has nothing to do with the injustice.
Cops were wrong and will pay.
But these business owners have the right to defend their property too by any means.
