Gotcha, a decent sized Honeywell facility too.

It seems like a great place to spend some time. I've only been in the mid 2000s for FFA National Convention, true story.

Louisville is one of those cities where it's right in the middle of being a small and big city. It's a very nice place to raise a family. A lot of activities for everybody to enjoy

Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory

Churchill Downs

Kentucky Derby Museum

Muhammad Ali Center

If you enjoy Baseball, I highly suggest going to Louisville Slugger Field which is the home of the Louisville Bats (Triple A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds). Usually greats crowds and has a nice atmosphere

Mammoth Cave

Loved it, one of my favorite things we visited, esp since the Grandpaw was addicted to the ponies.

While Louisville is a Democratic run area, it's honestly not that bad like you see elsewhere. The majority of people are polite and will go out of their way to help you.

I feel like more businesses in Louisville MIGHT ask you to wear a mask than other parts of the state even after June 11th but hopefully not. Louisville is a cool city, I think you’ll like it.

I live in Louisville now but I am from south LA. Been here for a few years. My suggestion would be to find a home somewhere on the east end. Middletown is a great area for a family.

Lots of stuff to do here but admittedly the COVID restrictions have been harsh the last year. They are set to expire this week. Pretty liberal city if you are okay with living around all that entails.

The low tax part is incorrect if you are coming from LA. Not only will you have a higher state income tax rate but you get the added pill of local income taxes. It’s flat tax rate depending on which area you live in

I don’t know where you are moving from, but KY income taxes are higher than La AND most cities have local taxes of 1-3% so make sure you factor that in

Spent a few years at Ft Knox and we used to make that drive up to watch the Louisville AAA baseball games. Great atmosphere and great people for the most part. Loved visiting but I personally could not live there.
