Accidentally sent my 10+ year old wallet through the wash, so new is a perfect time to get a new one.

I don't want to spend a fortune on one, <$40. I have a gift card to Amazon so I would like to purchase from them.

What are the good brands, styles, material?

Need some suggestions please.

To me, wallets are one of those things where you want to spend a bit of $ on. You will use it everyday so might as well get one of quality.

Nothing says style and acceptance like a velcro rainbow wallet.

I'm interested to hear thoughts on this. I need a new wallet as well. Is this sort of "security measure" becoming necessary nowadays?

I like my belroy wallet a lot. It's a bit more than $40, but it's under $100 for sure. Depends on what you want, but the leather is good and it has a bunch of security features like hidden slots and RFID blocking.

Cheap wallets fall apart on me. I had my last one for 6 or 7 years and it still functions quite well, just starting to come apart a bit. But before that I had shite like fossil that just disintegrated.

My wallet as a sleeve that supposed to prevent credit card scams. Not sure if it's a gimmick or not.

I got a Ridge wallet for Christmas.

I have been pleased.

Small as a wallet can get.

Many wallets these days are built with a RFID blocking fabric. I guess they are woven with metal or something.

From Google:
quote:

Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is the use of radio waves to read and capture information stored on a tag attached to an object. A tag can be read from up to several feet away and does not need to be within direct line-of-sight of the reader to be tracked.
