I know this is for a 2015, but do you think the invoice prices linked below are legit?

Several in Houston are offering 2016 4x4 Lariats for about $45k currently and that's the walk up price. You can most likely do better with some talking. I ALMOST talked myself into trading my 13 for a new Lariat.

I commute from BR to NO with a 2015 with the 5.0. I drive 73 with the cruise on. I'm averaging 22.4 mpg currently. I keep the mileage average posted on the speedo to keep me mindful of keeping my foot out of it. I felt like the Eco Boost was more gadgets to go wrong. Glad I made the choice of the 5.0.

Pick up the pace, granpa.

There is still an alarmingly high rate of failure on them where I am at. I have friends that are Ford mechanics and they get a good bit of blown up Ecoboost motors. My dad has a 2013 Lariat with ecoboost and the new motor will officially cost you $12k, ask me how I know.

I suspect a good portion of these failures are from people tuning the trucks I.E. turning the boost up.

All you need is an xlt sport package with the 2.7 twin turbo ecoboost.

I have about 16k miles on my 2016 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost.
Super crew XLT 4x4.
Has everything I wanted but the leather seats. (Has sport cloth heated seats)
I ordered some leather seat covers from clazzio, so hopefully those work out well.

Averaging myself after every fill up, getting 19.5 mpg. Shows about 21mpg on my dash

Seems like we still can't get a true difference between an XLT and a Lariat.

I got the V8 as well. Wasn't interested in the ecoboost, too many issues I read online.

providing the build link is not answering the question. No one seems to know right off the top of their heads

Difference seems to be the Lariat has

Leather trim seats But I think you can get this in XLT as option
AC seats
Remote tailgate release
Blind spot mirror
dual zone temp control
360 view
stereing wheel tilt, driver seat, and brake pedal memory
Adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support
wood grain like trim
Lane keeping system
some grill and bumper paint options

Not all of the listed is standard. Some are added options
8" screen behind steering wheel

garage door opener

Do all Ford products need transmission rebuilding in that mileage range, or just the F-150?

It actually is, but I also did more than that.

I listed the main ones. But like I said, there are too many to list really.

I see all these rebates and discounts and all that.. but I haven't pulled the trigger on anything because Ive such a spread in price. (i.e ive heard people paying more for a slightly used truck than a brand new one of the same options/trim) Can anyone tell me out the door what they are paying for a 15' or better lariat, 3.5eco, crew, 4wd? Could be new or slightly used?

There will be a huge spread between new and used, '15 to 17 year trucks. YOU need to decide what you actually want before you can get an idea of what the right price is for it.
