Went to a lot of the “Disco Donnie” parties there. Rabbit in the Moon, Monk, DJ Icey, etc. Great times had.

Same!!

The DOJ prosecuted Disco Donnie under the crack house statute……Anyway, Foo Fighters in maybe ‘94. Wilco in ‘05. Saw lots of Godzilla and Karate movies in the ‘70’s when the place was a grind house. My mom would drop me off on Saturday and I would watch the triple feature.

Used to go to movies there in the 1960s when the main movie theaters in town were the Saenger, the Orpheum and the Lowe’s.

I was at the first 311 day show.

The best show that I saw was Incubus with Deftones.

I saw Disturbed there and after the show, they hung out by the buses with fans. They were genuinely nice guys.

I saw Incubus at Grant Street Music Hall in Lafayette. Something like 4 months later they were playing the River Center.

Dj DB playing in the jungle room at wild planet 2001. Dropping straight fire, the whole room was jumping at the same time and the wooden floors started to flex and everyone realized they were getting double bounced like a trampoline. Pre Katrina New Orleans was the best city in America to live in.

I remember Danny busting a rack tom head and being amazed how fast his tech changed it while he was still playing.

Yes! I remember this happening. Like the previous poster mentioned I was on some strong hallucinogens so I wasn’t sure if that really happened.

I was a HS Sophomore so it took about another year and a half for the hallucinogens

Reading through this thread I didn't go to many Nola shows or that many Baton Rouge shows at all but the music acts coming through BTR and Nola in the early to mid 90's was solid. And a lot of times the bands were on the come up. You heard about them but they may not have been a household name yet.
