I do. 2+ acres that didn't have water anywhere near during the flood of August 2016.

I bet you wouldn't if St. George wasn't happening.

You would lose that bet. The consolidated City-Parish government is not suited for a large metro area. It's bloated and wasteful, and is not responsive to the needs of constituents. A consolidated government is more suited to smaller more rural parishes who can't afford certain services, but could if they pooled their resources with their neighbors.

The perfect storm for the success of St. George is on the way.

I own property within the proposed St. George area but do not currently live in Jigga City. I support it but couldnt vote either way on it.

You say the NAACP doesn't want a white enclave in EBR. I'm shocked.

This is honestly hilarious considering that historically, the constituents voted for it.

No, if the consolidated government splits there would be two separate offices - Mayor of BR and President of EBR.

two different discussions going on in this thread. My point was to the St George effort, not the consolidated government split. Unless they happen simultaneously, St George would have the mayor-president of EBR governing them.

But not determining where their tax revenue going directly to SG is spent. The end of the consolidated gov't in EBR is going to happen, but no one expected the NAACP to be the ones pushing it.

But determining how EBR services are rendered. Good luck getting your trash collected or pot holes filled.

If that happens, Baton Rouge proper would become a crime-infested crap hole of gigantic proportions. If you think there’s been major white flight so far, you ain’t seen anything yet. Gravy and Chauna would finally have the black utopia they’ve been yearning for.
