Except it isn't that. Look at any of these budgets, so many pet projects at all levels.

The way I read the story linked is this increase just brings the taxes back up to where they were before the 2016 flood when the taxing authorities rolled back their assessments 40%.

So for 8 years property owners got a huge tax break to recover from the flood.

Seems like a reasonable thing to do now.

Mine was pretty consistent. I wonder if not all homes in LP were affected.
