No, they aren’t.
And good on Lafayette if it finally found a way to produce a decent link of boudin within the city limits. shite broke my heart when Ray lost the store in the divorce

Actually Lafayette has some great international restaurants, off the top of my head there is Indian, Vietnamese, Mexican, Cuban, a neat little Venezuelan place, and of course Italian. Way way more than when I was a kid.
You left out Lafayette's best ethnic category: Middle Eastern... (Lebanese, Syrian)

Early's and Helo's are on Verot... within city limits

I’ll be damned, look at that little gerrymandered finger of Lafayette

Early's
Ok, is this Earl’s that keeps getting auto corrected or something?

Damascus on Johnston street around 2003 was great. Is it still open?

I thought Kaliste Saloom was Comanche Indian.

I'd be willing to bet anything that BR blows away Lafayette in this food category and I'm not trying to pick one side or the other.

Technically Greek, but I would put Zorba’s against damned near anything.

Pointe Coupee. I lived in BR for 5

BR is an outstanding Middle Eastern food city.

I lived in NYC, granted 21 years ago, and the middle eastern food was better in BR
I searched for the 15 months I was there, nada.

Geeze boomer, do you have anything original, new, or at least contemporary to say? You’ve been throwing this tired, worn response out since you got paroled.

There hasn't been a decent link of boudin made east of the basin, and my heritage is Pointe Coupee. I lived in BR for 5 years, and you lost the argument on this topic.
How's a yokel from Morganza know jack shite about the boudin?

Ronnie’s on Florida has good smoked boudin - it’s not the best but it’s good for BR

This phrase is outdated and wrong.
Tee Wayne's in Gonzales and The Francis Smokehouse in St Francisville make incredible boudin. This isn't my opinion but fact in the area. But what do we know?
People act like you can't take a 300 year old recipe 80 miles to the east and make it just as good in 2021.
Newsflash: there's great crawfish in Houston!

That's always been funny to me too. You can't make a good poboy 50 miles away even though 30% of your population is from here
We have superior bread weather or something

They actually say that about temp/humidity.
But here's the kicker. Gendusa and Leidenheimer both distribute their famous poboy bread from New Orleans to cities like Baton Rouge, Jackson, MS, and Mobile, AL every single working day.
But Nooo! No restaurant in Baton Rouge can make a New Orleans Poboy.
