Don’t concern yourself with such trivial things such as what’s trashy or not trashy. Go out and get that tattoo that you always wanted, get multiple piercings, smoke a cig, etc. Life is too short, you never know what tomorrow may bring. Live with no regrets.

Whether you like it or not your appearance matters. The only people that live this way have no upward mobility any way so they just say frick it.

Yep. People are told to “just be yourself”. That’s dumb. If being yourself makes you unemployable, unlikeable, untrustworthy, or any other “un”, then stop being yourself immediately.
