Sad thing is it will probably be mostly terrible singer-songwriters who have the ability to slow the passage of time with their terrible, "deep" lyrics

I fricking HATE country music. That would suck being a member of a literal "captive" audience. I'd rather go to the dentist than have to listen to country music.

they'll have to play some pretty short sets on those puddle jumpers, this was done on long haul flights decades ago where there was a lounge and it wasn't forced on everyone, it's sort of making a comeback, doesn't make sense on short flights, cramped spaces on WN

ETA: what would piss me off even more is if I were trying to get on the flight, there were only 1-2 seats available, and however many Kenny Chesney wannabees there are for "entertainment," were taking up the last available seats

If I get on a southwest flight hungover as shite and have to deal with live music, I’m praying for a terrorist attack

Only on the way to a Saints game and it’ll have to be a brass band playing Saints jingles.

I would prefer that they make the flights quieter for passengers...not louder.

This...When fly I want it quiet and to be left alone.

Live music on Southwest flights

I'm not clicking on that link.
Are they going to have a band on every plane or just a cocktail lounge type singer?

flight attendants who take the boarding process and pre-flight time and use it as their personal audition for a career in stand-up comedy: how about you STFU. You aren't funny. I am not on the plane to hear your bad comedy

About the only one I enjoyed was late one night right after Southwest made the headlines for not following maintenance guidelines. The guys comes on the intercom and "Here are the exits, go towards them, These are the doors, they open...as far as anything else, read the headlines, we aren't really concerned with the details". Took less than 10 seconds and we were off.

I was on one their "music planes" early in week. Its their newest plane, very comfortable and noticeably quieter during flight. The music was very low in volume and only played during boarding and unboarding. is that even a word??
