No right turn on red signs suck. Double left turn lanes have the light turn red when you don't have an arrow. Sitting there with a red when no one is coming in the opposite direction sucks worse.

There are a lot of laws that have minor penalties. We have 30-50,000 deaths per year on the highways of the USA. That means the equivalent of everybody at LSU dies, every year, in a car.
Many of them are caused by speeding, drinking, and texting/distraction. Few are freak accidents or mechanical failures. If we started enforcing traffic laws seriously it we would be much safer.
You get one warning (which doesn mean a fake ticket, it means pick up litter or pay $50) and then you get a $2000 or weekend in jail ticket. A lot of people say that would be an economic hardship.
GOOD.
Maybe people would chill out. Slow down. Drive defensively. Follow safely. Mind manners. Etc... There's a reason you never ever point a gun at someone, even if you think it's empty or the safety is on. We should treat cars the same way.

Left lane law for sure. People are just fricking stupid, ignorant, or just don't give a frick but left lane hogging is rampant. Zero enforcement.

I do the same. More than ever. I know when it’s safe and when it’s not. I don’t care at all and would pay the fine if I ever got caught (which I find highly doubtful in this lawless world).
