You might get flak for this, but I agree. I think semi auto ar's are fine but devices like bunp stocks, etc should be illegal.

Bump stops that make an ar that much like a full auto should be illegal because no law abiding citizen needs a full auto.

Yup. Pretty much.

If you can't defend your home with a 7+ round capacity shotgun or 19 round Glock or BOTH, then you are hanging around the wrong fricking people or you are being served a no knock warrant by a SWAT team, and there's no amount of fire power that will save you.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State..."

FWIW, the "State" has been far better armed than it's citizens for a century or more. Every little bit helps.

Do you have a nice house? Nice vehicle? Anything nice and fancy you treated yourself to with some saved funds? Any sports interest? Anything get your adrenaline going, maybe competing at something or just doing something solo?

Your preference for what you want. Amen brother, hope you do. But why knock the average sane man/woman who likes to shoot xyz gun at a inanimate target. Because nut jobs use them?

Guns don't walk and talk. Please just consider the answer is enhanced criteria to weed out the looney tunes from acquiring. That's the root and where the problem is. Amen

I applaud you sir, for checking the needs of every law-abiding citizen. I was, until your post, assuming everyone's needs are different.

How long did it take you?

I know the NRA lobby has stroke, but this may be a battle they're not winning. Especially with the midterms upcoming.

I'm not knocking "the average sane man/woman who likes to shoot".

I've shot guns before. It's fun af. I may or may not own a double barrel coach gun and a passed down Ruger 9mm. I may or may not have murdered many squirrels, rabbits, and waterfowl in my youth before I decided that the smell of gun cleaning solvent was not worth it.

What I am saying is that a civilian does not need a fricking machine gun, or a semi-automatic AR/AK that can be modified to fire automatically, or a 30+ round magazine (<---I could have pissed you off and called it a "clip").

If you want to fire a machine gun join the Army.

That's my opinion. That's my interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. Nothing any of you say will change it.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, the NRA is a terrorist organization.

I'll even start myself off with a downvote. HOW BOW DAH?

Good thing there weren't a whole lot of your type when the American Revolution was fought.

ETA: Your interpretation of the 2nd Amendment flies in the face of reality. Enjoy your ignorance, though.
