I don't even have a linkdin account, and I have people contact me once a week about being my friend. So far this year, the best were a camera guy in Michigan and some dirt bike riding guy in California did

I honestly didn't care for it even a few years ago. Yeah, it's cool to connect with other professionals and stuff, but it never really benefited me in any way. Now, the only people who want to connect with me are marketing people who want me to retain them for their services. frick that.

Yeah, linkedin is just a burden for me. I don't get into liking, approving etc of a business that I don't use. It is equally weird when people like what I do and they have no clue. Agree with circle jerk comment. I am sure it works for some people/businesses.
