People who bicker about the race or sexuality of a fictional character fall arse backwards into the leftist trap.

Does Hollywood tend to sacrifice plot, chemistry, and acting ability for on-screen diversity? Yes. Focus on that.

Well they've never been able to cast a white actor to do a decent version of him. Maybe a black guy will be able to.

Rosenbaum is the best live action Luthor and he’s white.

The better version for a black spinoff would be Felix Leiter. Would love to see the stories from his perspective. Plus he would be more of an American Bond.

I like that idea.

Another example would be a black version of Golden Girls. Being Sicilian was an important part of Sophia's character. Instead of giving the housemates the same names, just have four old black women sharing a house and create new characters. It would be a great comedy show.

This doesn't bother me at all....because I'm not a snowflake and it's a goddamn comic tv show

I mostly agree with this. If it weren’t for the current woke culture pushing all things racial, I would have zero problem with it and may have even looked forward to the unique interpretation.

There was already a Lex Luthor in the CW.

However, I guess you can do whatever tf you want in a multiverse.

There would be a whole lot of granchirren to cast. Better have them living in a mansion

Are we sure it is LEX Luthor and not either the future son of Lena Luthor and James Olsen or Ultraman (Clark Luthor of Earth 10 - Evil version of Superman)?

I just watched the episode and "Captain" Luthor (that should be your first clue) is obviously from some other reality or time. They haven't nixed John Cryer returning as Luthor, but the statements by black Luthor and his being a Captain make it seem that he's not the Luthor of this Superman's world.

Warner Bros keeping the stereotype alive. Time to cancel them.
That's already been tried. In November they fired a black writer and she claimed it was because she complained about black villains and not enough female characters. They claimed it was because she was a shitty writer. Nothing became of it.

It’s the Hollywood playbook now. Just take an established character and change the race, gender, or sexual orientation. I don’t mind that as long as the straight white man be on the receiving end of it every now and then. So a white dude as Blade or Storm would do.
I'm just talking bout Shaft.....can you dig it?
