My child sits like this. Boggles my mind.

Wife is in the medical field. When our kids do this she corrects them and tells them to straighten their legs. Apparently it's not good for the young joints.

Kids do it because that's the way we're designed. All little kids do this. Then society says sit in a chair and that's all folks.

It's actually great for your muscles and joints to stretch like this regularly. should try it.

This is commonplace in continents that are native to tigers, lions, communism and radical islam. Makes getting the frick out of dodge easier and shitting yourself less likely. Highly efficient resting position.

They're also designed to run into the street without looking but we tell them not to. Nothing to do with society either and that's not what I said. It's more to do with joint and muscle physiology and development. Any sitting position is better than that for children. Straight legs, Indian style, to the side, etc.

How stupid are Americans?

Paid to modern toilets installed in the house. Paid to add a Squatty Potty(TM) to the modern toilet.

Asians are smart.

3rd world squat. I've been doing it lately, read about how it strengthens your core. Have to keep your feet flat, seems easy but it isn't. When I first started it a couple of weeks ago, I could only hold it for a 2 minutes. Up to 8 minutes now.

If that were the case and the latter then the Chinese should have dominated when the Russians and Bulgarians were. It can't be just roids and genetics

Here's what we do know
The Russians and Bulgarians past and present treat Olympic weightlifting as a job. The Koreans are doing this now and obviously so are the Chinese. Whereas here in America it's not getting the attention since we have team sports.

It's a cultural thing that uswa needs to try to change but they are getting better
