Come on now.
Yes a cop can technically get pulled over for speeding but do you really think this would ever happen? How many cops pull cops over?
Don’t be the “actually” guy.

speed limits are set for a reason. the reason we get ticketed for driving above the speed limit (after revenue collection) is that we are being unsafe.
Not really. Nixon set a nationwide 55 limit because 55 was more fuel efficient and we were under an oil embargo.
A lot of those 55 limits persist. What's actually safe and reasonable has many more factors than just what the set speed limit is. Doing the speed limit on a day with heavy snow and ice and zero visibility is probably unsafe.

Yes. I'm far from large cities. I just never understand the hate cops get when they are the first ppl you'd call. Also, the % of shite head cops is very low. More cops get killed on duty than blacks get shot by cops. Too bad people love the media and think cops are bad.
Also, with all the people who have said they have DUIs on here, I'm not surprised small minded idiots think cops are bad.

I worked in a district attorney’s office in college, the average cop we dealt with was fat, stupid, and arrogant. It’s a last ditch job for people with associates or undergrad degrees in something worthless like criminal justice. I’ve rarely seen evidence to the contrary.

Sounds like 'Merica in general.

Most cops want to be cops. Ill agree most of them don't even have an associates. I can also disagree and say most departments won't hire criminal justice degrees or previous military police.
One last thing, a fancy piece of paper means very little in the grand scheme of things. I have 3 fwiw.

I don't think cops are bad. However I'm willing to bet there have been bad cops in every department in the country who have been protected by the thin blue line.
Add in the fact that a lot don't know the actual laws they swore to protect and you get quite a few who violate the rights of the citizens they are supposed to protect. Then have half that force out trying to raise money through bullshite traffic speed traps because most places have artificially low speed limits and you have a lot of reasons to want officers to be able to be personally held liable for their actions.
Most every other job you have you are accountable for your actions and if you really screw up you are on the hook for whatever legal action there is. With a cop, he gets suspended and the department/municipality has to pick up the tab for his misconduct.

I appreciate your interaction man. I'm not trying to get into it with anyone. Just pointing out a few things.
Some may disagree with me, but everything I've posted isn't as ridiculous as the OP
Example: he said if cops don't have their radar running. Its running all the time unless the cop turns it off. Or if they are on the side of the road shooting LIDAR.

The fact that we have law enforcement that sits around all day with a radar gun trying catch people is mind-blowing to me sometimes. I can see having a few patrol cars on the highways in case someone is drunk or reckless, but turning cops into revenue generators is a joke.

That would be more so troopers as that is their job, the highways/interstate, and crash investigation.
I think some itt should do a Google session and learn a few things about cops.
Also, if you don't like a lot of cops or they bother you that much....
Move! Bitching on TD isn't going to solve a damn thing.

Before the "self" quarantine I had a Lafayette City Cop that passed me every morning South of Youngsville on my way to work. 45MPH zone, double lines, no lights, and doing 65+ (paced him once and backed down at 62 when he was still pulling me)
What type of unit was he in... asking for a friend of course.
