Seems like many makers are starting to abandon the traditional chrome rub strips on the doors and instead do a full chrome surround around the windows to accomplish a similar visual effect. I think the Europeans were the first to use this style (maybe Mercedes?)

Practically this means no more buffers for dings in parking lots.

Right on cue.

I said it was way in the weeds so nobody has to click. It seems to be a noticeable trend to the observant car enthusiast of which there might only be a few of us on this board I guess.

Well, stop making shitty threads and I won't have to say they're shitty.

Maybe a post a pic of the obscure nonsense you're talking about.

Just spray the whole vehicle down with CARC and be done with it. I detest chrome.

The fact that you feel like you have to do anything on the off topic board of a website named after tiger feces is funny.

You start these threads, but I don’t think you really give a shite about the actual discussion. I don’t know how someone gets off on the attention they get from starting random threads, but I guess that’s your thing?

I can get this thread if it’s started by a known automobile aficionado. But you? Naw...

I can see why you might think that, but it isn’t true. A topic like this would be discussed on a specialty automotive website (and probably has already somewhere), so to act like this is some off the wall topic that no one would ever talk about is inaccurate IMO. Countless articles on automotive styling trends everywhere. Plus it isn’t like I didn’t qualify the type of thread this was going to be in the thread title.

The last thread I got beat up on was about auto paint colors, a topic that had be discussed on auto blogs, Bloomberg, Fortune (I think) and many other sites. I’m not the only person noticing these things.

But my error for not knowing my audience, and reserving any discussion for those other websites. I am guilty of that.

Anyway the thread is worth what all of you paid for it. Peace and love to all.
