I bet she's singing the national anthem in his sleep these days....
Born: October 18, 1990 (age 31)
During a 2010 game in her first season, she generated controversy when she punched an opposing player, breaking her nose. Griner was suspended for two games.
In 2015 Griner joined UMMC Ekaterinburg of the Russian Premier League, and the team won the EuroLeague championship the following year. Ekaterinburg also claimed the title in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
In 2013 Griner publicly revealed that she is a lesbian
April 2015 Griner and her then partner, WNBA player Glory Johnson, were arrested on charges of assault and disorderly conduct following an incident at their home. They later pled guilty to disorderly conduct, and both were suspended for seven games by the WNBA. The couple married in May 2015, and they had twins before divorcing in 2016.
February 17, 2022, Griner was detained at a Russian airport as she arrived in the country to play for Ekaterinburg. Officials claimed that her luggage contained vape cartridges with cannabis oil, a drug that was illegal in Russia.

“I honestly feel we should not play the national anthem during our season. I think we should take that much of a stand,” Ms Griner told the press at the time. “I’m going to protest regardless. I’m not going to be out there for the national anthem. If the league continues to want to play it, that’s fine. It will be all season long, I’ll not be out there. I feel like more are going to probably do the same thing. I can only speak for myself.”

Just enough time to acquire a couple kids to complete the American dream of a broken home.

I would welcome her back to the country with open arms, if she was required to speak out against trans issues, say how much she loves America on a regular basis, and stands proudly for the national anthem.

If a Russian citizen was caught with what she had their punishment would be a small fine to a max of 1 month in prison.
Say what yall want, but I am not going to be happy for someone getting 9 years in prison for marijuana just because she did some shite I don't agree with.

She wont care when they release a terrorist to get her back. Neither will millions of idiots in this country. They don't care about anyone but themselves.

How many US citizens get arrested abroad that the government doesn’t get involved with? Hint: a shite ton. She shouldn’t get preferential treatment because she’s a basketball player
