Grandfather was a corn farmer. Grew enough soybeans in his day to bury everybody on this board so deep in soy that NOLA would be above sea level.
He had more manhood in the tip of his pinky that got shot off by a Jap than any of you losers have mustered in your whole lives
He was probably a fine man. He would also probably be disappointed in his grandson.

To be fair most soy would be grown by conservatives, used by figs. But it's actually used in everything. I live in rural soy/corn land.

What state was your grandfather in?

So every time we bury a soy boy it's good for American Agriculture?

Outside of corn fields, some of the best deer hunting I've experienced has been next to soybean fields.
The deer are probably distracted by their Nintendo Switches.

Soy is used as a running joke, but it does in fact have negative issues.
It serves a great purpose in that it helps revitalize soil, but as a food source, particularly soy milk, there are concerns.
For example, the use of soy milk in infancy appears to have an association with women having severe menstrual cramps, even increasing the need for hormonal management.

New research suggests that infant girls fed soy formula are more likely to develop severe menstrual pain as young adults. The finding adds to the growing body of literature that suggests exposure to soy formula during early life may have detrimental effects on the reproductive system. The study appears online in the journal Human Reproduction.

why do you hate American Farmers?

The US produces close to 50% of the worlds soybean. It's a huge portion of our ag economy. A bunch of dudes who like rhymes think it's fun to say soy boy in a sing song voice.

I don't doubt that, but clearly none of that was passed down. So what's your point? No one is bashing farmers here. The soy boi that the OT is bashing is not entirely due to soy product itself. Being soy has become a type of person and a way of being that is unAmerican and unmanly. It should be bashed and not tolerated in the slightest bit.

You're not Merican if you don't love the orange bastard.

Without soybeans to regulate nitrogen levels in the soil, much of America's farmland would become unable to yield large amounts of other necessary crops such as corn.
Purple hull peas do the same damn thing, and they are a hell of alot better on cornbread.
Clover does, too.
Any legume will increase nitrogen in soil.
Unfortunately, purple hull peas, clover, etc. aren't heavily subsidized by the Federal Government.

NIEHS postdoctoral researcher and lead author Kristen Upson, Ph.D., offered a potential explanation for the association between soy formula and severe menstrual pain. She said that data from previous laboratory animal studies suggest that early-life exposure to genistein, a naturally occurring component in soy formula, interferes with the development of the reproductive system, including factors involved in menstrual pain. She said these studies have also shown that developmental changes can continue into adulthood.
quote:Any person who supports soy formula is anti-woman and wants them to suffer.
However, severe menstrual pain is not the only adverse reproductive health condition that Upson has linked to infant soy formula. She and her collaborators at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle previously linked soy formula feeding to endometriosis, a condition where tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside. Using SELF data, Upson and NIEHS senior scientist Donna Baird, Ph.D., have also linked infant soy formula to larger fibroids among woman with fibroids and to heavy menstrual bleeding.
