In reading this it kind of seems like this is already in effect in Louisiana as delta 9 can only be bought in certain shops and liqour stores, not gas stations anymore and there is a limit on how much it can contain.

which is generally dumb, but at least from what Im seeing I should still be able to get some delta-9 gummies and seltzers

ETA: actually it seems like this could end all delta 9 consumables. gummies, seltzers..all of it. frick these people. The only way you will relax or feel better is through Rx drugs and you will like it!

If it lists THCP anywhere on there, that would be the culprit.

I don't have the package of what messed me up so bad, just one unopened package I've yet to toss.

Here's the back of it,

Yea - that's the issue. It has D9, THCA, AND THC-P in it. THC-P is like 33x more potent than regular D9. Ideally you want gummies with only D9 or THCA in it.

Wish I had known, lol... I told the lady it was my first time trying it.

Anywho- I was shocked one could buy something that would mess a person up that much and for so long with just a half piece of candy.

It binds to receptors 33% more, that doesnt make it 33% more potent. Its roughly 5-10x more potent according to users.

Most THC-P is currently synthesized from CBD.

Why did you ignore this post in your other thread?

“It was hardly slipped in. The language was drafted in June.

But even CA did this prior:

quote:
In September 2024, the California Department of Public Health issued emergency regulations banning hemp-derived food, beverage, and dietary products with any detectable amount of THC or other intoxicating cannabinoids. The rules cover over 30 compounds, including delta-8 and delta-10 THC, and impose a prohibition on sales to individuals under 21 years old and a limit of five servings of product per package.”

I smoke a good amount of flower. I only use gummies as a last resort if I'm somewhere where I'm not able to smoke. I have a medical card in Oklahoma.

I'm all for closing this loophole. Either federally decriminalization all marijuana or close these weird loopholes where people are taking some strange gummy and drink combinations that they have no idea what they're doing.

I don’t think the law has ever stopped anybody who wanted to use marijuana.

Yea they don't give a shite. They just want to make a sale. When my mom got her medical card the first thing they tried to suggest was a vape pen even though she's never smoked in her life.

I started with a nibble, waited 30m, nibbled a bit more. I took more than I should because I didn't know how long it took to kick in- but I didn't take a whole gummy, probably half.

I also didn't realize I could buy something THAT potent- seriously, that it was easily available as candy made it seem kinda harmless.

Lastly, the package has two gummies and says the serving size is one piece. If I ate a full gummy piece, I'd have been stoned for a week.

Ok so just because you're a retard, you have to ruin it for everybody?

Big alcohol doesn't want anyone on ANYTHING except booze. And lots and lots of booze. They want you to drink, they're ok with you driving (hence making sure you can get 10,000 DWI's and all it really costs you is money), and they want to make sure you're glued to them for the rest of your life.

Responsible use of this stuff is fine. Go up to Total Wine right now and grab a 4 pack of Driftees (from Urban South) and tell me how you feel in the morning when you're drinking those compared to wine or liquor.

Well - maybe not YOU specifically since I guess you'd drink all 4 of them in one sitting because you're not very bright... but MOST people.

if legalization was an option than ya, but the loophole is the best we are going to get in Texas

I don't know much about it and asked the lady selling them... her instructions were actually more conservative than the ones on the packaging.

I'm just sharing one novice user's experience with gummies.

This... I know at least a few posters here think I'm retarded for not knowing anything about them, but it isn't like the package instructions are too helpful and you can't be sure of what the seller tells you. Also, when sold as easy as beer or cigarettes- and as drinks or candies, it's easy to think it's no big deal.

Well let me tell you one user's experiences with these beverages.

I'm alive. I'm relaxed. I'm refreshed. My skin isn't as pale. I'm not bloated from alcohol anymore. My eyes are whiter. My nails are clear. My hair is fuller. My pee isn't as yellow. I sleep. I dream. I don't make terrible decisions.

If I could get some guarantee that it will be regulated like alcohol, then I'm all for "closing the loophole". But I think the real endgame is to completely destroy this small industry so everyone goes back to having a Miller Lite in their hands.

Where are you seeing this? The text (pdf) I saw didn't have any mention of it.

It is the minibus bill, but Republicans will brush aside issues including Paul because they cant flip it and still pass it through the House.

Its basically a done deal now

Maybe I'll try one of those... I am definitely a bit gun shy after my gummy experience though. I'm not against alcohol alternatives, that's why I tried a gummy in the first place.

You and me both. But I've literally never felt as good as I feel now... not since the days before I started shotgunning Beast cans as a young baw to today.

This is a sad, sad day and it makes me extremely mad that we have this nanny state bullshite out there.
