I agree my man. Maybe she knows everything about robert e lee. She might not need gravy to lecture her on the topic. From his own writings, I get the perception that lee and many white men at that time felt that blacks needed to be broken in when they came from africa. His own quote:

Yeah it’s ignorant and unfair to judge people from history by the modern mores.
Different worlds. It would be as unfair as judging modern people by past standards.
And when did we abandon the idea that people grow and change? Our experiences shape us and can show us a better way.
