So we are in a condo On the first floor in Destin. I have never rode out a hurricane on the beach. Should we party it up or evacuate? TIA

We are headed east of Destin, after a failed evacuation to Uncle's condo at Portofino. While I was out collecting shells to make picture frames, an official told me to leave the beach at Pensacola, so I am back at Uncle's. Mother, though, wants to leave tonight to go to our cousin's place east of Destin. I would hope Destin will be okay, but I am not familiar with the hydrology of Destin nor do I pretend to know where the hurricane will go. May God be with you, friend. Perhaps we could meet up for dinner in Destin if you are free later?
