Least amount of traffic into work in Baton Rouge in at least 30 years

It's stupid for people with desk/computer jobs to have to drive to work EVERY day. I work from home/road and might talk to my boss once a week and wreck shop. Just dont be a POS

That’s assuming so much though. We need Bloomberg terminals to do our job. If we don’t have them, we need dedicated people on site to use them. Thousands of jobs have similar technology requirements. Don’t apply your situation to the entire country for this.

My 20 minute commute became almost two hours in the morning and after work when work resumed after Katrina and it was like that for about four months.

Flood was bad too but not quite as bad as Katrina.

I remember driving from LSU back to Denham right after Katrina hit because I couldn't get a hold of my parents (didn't know the towers were down). I could have hit 150 with no problem because I saw maybe one other car.

....and I was just told to go back home and work from for the foreseeable future

with a wife and 2 young kids at home, productivity is going to be at all time low

Encrypted VPN, not like anything is really secure on any server anyway. We've seen that play out too many times.

My employer sent an email out declaring most people should telecommute but that essential employees should still show up.

Seems to be an awful lot of “essential” employees today.
