I have DeWalt and even with 12Ah battery it will not last all the way around my house

I have the Kobalt 80 volt blower with 3 8ah batteries. I can do around my 3500 square foot home with 2/3 of a battery and my 200’ driveway with the rest of the first battery and 1/3 of another battery. Batteries recharge fully in 20 minutes so, if I wanted to use my blower continuously from sunup to sunset I easily could.

I find it hard to believe that you don't take it up the arse twice a week.

Go recycle the 'Leaf Blower' question somewhere else.

I find it hard to believe that the technology is not there yet or they aren’t as effective as gas powered ones.

Trust me, they're doing it exclusively to piss you off. Of COURSE they have super advanced solar powered leaf powers that are as quiet as a barn owl swooping in on a field mouse. But screw it, better to annoy the frick out of you and make your life miserable.

I never realized blue collar folk could be so sensitive. I know lots of blue collar workers that are happy and well mannered. Want to talk about it and get an action plan going on becoming a better person?

Lawn businesses wouldn’t be able to run battery operated stuff and do the amount of work they do in a day.

Plus, the battery ones are much weaker

Electric blowers are still blowers. We haven’t found the technology to mute large gusts of wind yet

What does gas vs electric have to do with it?

The power to blow leaves like youre talking about will still be loud.

The energy required to power a leaf blower for 10 hours is a very tiny fraction of an electric car.

And yet the weight of batteries required to power said leaf blower for 10 hours is still considerably more than the weight of gasoline that would be required.

Husqvarna makes an electric backpack blower. Compared to their cheapest gas backpack blower:
- The gas blower is 40% more powerful.
- They weigh about the same, but the gas blower with a full tank is actually a couple of pounds heavier.
- The gas blower with a full tank lasts 3.5x as long as the electric blower with a full battery at 100% rated capacity (electric blower would have to weigh over twice as much as the gas blower to have the same capacity).
- The electric blower costs 2.5x as much ($1,790 vs $510).
