This is common at Houston hospitals. But LBJ is located in an especially sketchy region of the Houston metroplex.

Not gonna say it wouldn’t happen at The Woodlands hospitals but it sure isn’t common if so. Can’t speak for sure on others but I’d assume Katy & Pearland are on par safety wise.

“the security people there suck arse”

Hospital I worked at had security cameras all over.I had occasion to go to their office twice, there was a row of monitors for the security cameras and there was no one watching them.
Our security rode around in golf carts with a blue light flashing so bad guys could, see, them, coming.

Cable locks on the wheels…pain to drive with them but they won’t get stolen.

but my wife works there and this is the second time this has happened.

I visited a friend there once.

That was enough for me. Would never set foot within a 3 mile radius of that hospital, unless I was on the interstate whizzing by.

I’m 100% certain the risk of tires getting stolen should be the least of someone’s concerns.

What is the purpose behind keeping it quiet?

PR

The garage hasn’t even been open for a full year, but the first month they had a few employees get stuck in an elevator for over an hour. They had to call the fire department to come get them out, that’s also something you didn’t hear much about.

They also forgot to designate parking spots for handicap people, so any patient who had a handicap placard had to park in the first spot available, sometimes it was on the top floor because the garage is tiny and gets full. So whoever gave them permission to open the garage, obviously had money in their pockets for the permits to be allowed

Another incident they had was during a groundbreaking ceremony for a new tower they building, they closed off the employee parking lot and told them to park in the street, well anybody who parked in the street got their cars towed and it was a huge CF trying to get all of the cars back, Nobody had to owe any money, but it took hours for the hospital to negotiate with the tow truck lot to release everybody’s cars

Whoever runs that hospital is a total dumbass

National news nobody would care, but Houston is it a big deal because it’s a very popular hospital in one of the most busy hospitals in Houston

Read up above on all the other bullshite that’s happened at the hospital in the past 12 months, it’s a miracle that none of this has been on the news. It’s been a total cluster frick.

Not just that hospital, going to the Magnet-conference in NOLA was eye-opening.

Well, that’s a fairly routine kind of thing.

Isn’t this a government entity? Not surprised.
