I have strabismus.

My dominant eye is straight. I also can’t see 3D. I’ve recently seen a specialist to fix this so I can eventually get LASIX. What he does is detach the muscle from the eye because it’s not where it’s supposed to be. He will reattach the muscle to the part of the eye where it needs to be for it to be perfectly straight.

Maybe he can bring some perspective here.

Good one.

I think people with lazy eyes eyes still work right though. I think maybe a lens cab correct it

My dominant eye is the same. The lazy eye has a slight cross to it that's not too noticeable unless I'm over-tired. The muscle has never been strong enough to make the eye usable. I've never wasted money on a 3D movie in my life, no point to it. I had that surgery when I was four or five years old. I don't know how they do it nowadays, but when I had it done they removed my eyeball to perform the operation. They may have used a spoon. I'm basically a cyclops.

I had that surgery done a couple years ago. He detached the muscle from the lazy eye and reattached it to straighten the eye. So far so good. The recovery was a little longer than expected though.

I have strabismus, have had multiple surgeries. I focus with different eyes for different things. My “lazy eye” has switched between surgeries.

My daughter had it done a couple years ago. She was 6 when she had the procedure. It’s an outpatient surgery these days. We showed up at 8am, they put her to sleep and we were out of the hospital by noon.
