Judge Harry Cantrell's misdeeds
Summary:
-Made millions in the early 2000s but didnt properly pay the tax man and owed $600k in 2014
-Illegally rented his office space on Airbnb while a sitting judge
-Sold that building for $1.5mil in 2019 after Mohan Kailas' adjacent property became the NOPSI Hotel
-Sued for basically running an extortion system by not accepting cash bonds for bail (the Court gets 1.8% of money put up through bondsmen but zero if cash)
-Sanctioned by the LA Supreme Court for neglecting clients when he was in private practice

I don't understand why it continues to amaze me how brazen some of these high profile politicians are. But it does. This one feels like Morial, you know she's connected into every dark corner of city hall, the courthouse, etc etc.

I am in no way defending LaToya, but to run up tax debts like she and her husband has... my guess is her husband never paid any taxes on his law firm income. He probably owes regular tax and self-employment tax.

The corruption she and her family have, such as it is, still pales in comparison to the racket that Bunny Charbonnet would have brought to city hall, if his sister was elected.
